New to the Game! A Stay at home LDS Mom

    Hello world! This is the......one hundredth blog (haha) that I've began. Let's see if I'll keep it up and be deemed "Blogger Mom".  I sure hope that I'll keep this up, I've always wanted to do blogging. I enjoy writing and I love sharing my experiences with others. Pray that I'll keep this up! Haha  =) I guess I'll start off with the basics right? Who, what, and such.  

This is me and my handsome husband! We've been married for a little over a year. We are happy that we made it the year and are excited to be in the second year of marriage. I'm the youngest in my family and he is the oldest. So he makes me more responsible and I make him more fun. Just kidding. We're both pretty fun people. We met in high school and were friends for six years before finally accepting all the promptings to get married. We've lived in the same town for most of our lives (him all, me some). We both have large families however mine is bigger. =) He became an instant Uncle when he married me. It took a few months for that to sink in, haha. My parents and his GRANDparents are the same age. So it's always fun talking about family. And talking about family brings me to my next point. ↴ 

We were happy to learn six months into our marriage, that our couple was to become a family! We were very excited and happy, it was hard to keep it a secret for nearly a month till we told his mother. It was an amazing birthday gift. First grandbaby for them, about 30th for mine. Haha, the differences between oldest and youngest. Hearing the baby's heartbeat was beautiful, and my husband couldn't believe how much the fetus moves around; with that ultrasound we got the good news of the baby being due in February! How amazing!

A few months later we learned what sex we would be the proud parents of. ↴

And it's a Girl! We argued about boy names for months, turns out we didn't need too! So we are having, Little Elizabeth! Knowing that I'm having a girl, gave me the motivation I needed to get the nursery ready. Theme: Floral Africa, what does that mean? Little African animals with flowers. So far I'm happy with the nursery. 

There are a few things left, like a chair cover for the chair that we have and the backing for those curtains. =) Everything else is taken care of and done! Good thing too because that baby is due with in the next three weeks. But we're safe this week. The doc says that this week is a no go! Which is fine because the baby shower is this Saturday. Haha! 

As it says in the title, I'm new to the game. I have a plethora of women with their wells of wisdom that I can draw from, however I'll appreciate all the help I can get! Let's hope my first experiences are smooth and happy.
