Well I have nine days left till my due date and the baby could come anytime between now and then and even after. Haha. It's funny how they give you a date but even that is a general idea. 😊
After telling my husband about the baby coming anytime, he became nervous. He then made me nervous. So I went and bought all of the stuff that I didn't have for my hospital bag, proceeded to pack it and then proceeded to pack the bag for the baby. I then stuck them both in our vehicle and told my husband that they never come out until the hospital. Haha. Which is a good thing. I have a sister in law who had all of the hospital stuff ready by her 25th week. Her nesting sensation is very strong. 😋
I've received constant advice on what I should do to prepare for the hospital and the baby coming. The stuff I should bring, who I should have in the room, what I shouldn't let the doctor pressure me into doing, if I should get anesthesia, if I should pump or not, how much time I should wait to bring the baby out in public, what clothes to put the baby in when she's sleeping, the size of clothes I should pack for the baby, how much I should pack, who should be in the delivery room with me, and so on.
There are times where all that advice is contrary to one another and it can seem as if it's personal to your knowledge. My husband has assured me time and time again that it isn't. Every person had a different experience and is different themselves. The way that they voice things are taken differently by different people. When advice is contrary to another, I've come up with a solution! You know you better than they do and Heavenly Father knows you best of all. So...
Follow the advice that fits you.
Don't be discouraged and think that you're stupid or unintelligent because you're neither of those; I'm sure. Some advice is good, some is not so good, and some just may not even apply to how you are or how you wish to be. So I say follow the advice that is best for you.
If you're a person that likes to be prepared for every possible situation, get that pump!
If you're a person that doesn't want to worry about every little wrong thing that could happen, close that book and ask them kindly to refrain!
If you're a person that wants to know every little detail, listen intently!
Take the advice that fits you the best. That's what I say.
What do you experienced mother's think? Am I proper in thinking this way? Is it a good idea?
I know that that is what I'm going to do. Out of all the advice I've received, I've taken the ones that I like and that fit me. 😊 Listen to all the advice that you're going to get and thank them kindly for it. However, you don't have to follow every piece of advice that you get. Follow that which is good and right. Also which fits you the best. 😊
I hope you all are having a wonderful winter. If I've said something to offend or anger, I'm truly sorry. Have a wonderful day!
